Proper planting procedure to ensure a healthy plant.

  1. Dig a hole 2 times the width of the container and twice the depth.

  2. Mix the soil removed from the hole with a good quality soil, compost or Sea Soil.

  3. Fill the hole half way with this new mix and add bone meal. (Requirements may vary slightly from plant to plant, ask Nursery staff for further details).

  4. With potted plants, check the roots. If they are circling the root ball, gently pull some loose being careful not to break the root ball. Set the plant in the hole making sure it won't be buried deeper than what it is in the pot. For ball and burlap plant it is not necessary to remove the burlap however cut the string off and loosen burlap away from the trunk base. Fill the planting hole with the soil mix, pressing firmly.

  5. Water in with Transplanter Liquid. Watering your plant through the first year is most critical for anything newly planted. To determine how far the water traveled, scratch down into the soil.

  6. Pat yourself on the back - you've done it right!
